Letter From The Principal - Brad Toole
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back to the final term of the year! It is hard to believe that it is already half way through October and we are planning our Term 4 Calendar and looking ahead to 2025.
Our planning processes for 2025 are starting to take place as we start to look at our calendar for next year. To help us prepare for our class allocations for 2025 we need to know what students will be attending All Hallows next year. We are still accepting enrolments for Kinder 2025 (As well as all other year groups). If you know anyone wanting to attend All Hallows please ask them to come and see the office for an enrolment pack.
Our Term 4 calendar is looking rather busy. The term will fly by and we will be celebrating Christmas before we know it. I hope everyone has a great term, works hard and enjoys spending time with their friends. We have sent home today a paper copy of our calendar for the fridge.

R.E. Matters - Walking In The Light Of Christ
‘Never see a need without doing something about it.'
‘Let your Light Shine’
To ‘Let your light shine’ means doing your best to live each day on purpose and in a way that's pleasing to God.
It means showing kindness and compassion to others and yourself.
It's about looking for opportunities to be more like Jesus, to lift others up, and to do the right thing. This term may we be people for other people, consistently performing good works in our community.
All Saints Day - 1st November
All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on November 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church.
The Catholic practice celebrates all those who have entered heaven, including saints who are recognized by the Church and those who are not.
This year we will be celebrating our Feast Day over two days.
Our Feast Day Mass will be held at 9am on Friday 1st November, followed by a morning tea with families on the front playground. Please join us for this special morning.
The following Monday, all classes will participate in a service activity in the Gulgong community. This tradition to use our school feast day as a day of SERVICE is very important to our school and we look forward to coming up with ‘Acts of Service’ for our community. If you have any good ideas for what classes can do to help others, please let us know.
The tradition to use our school feast day as a day of SERVICE comes from our school theme this term- ’Light your light shine’.
All Souls' Day – 2nd November
All Souls’ Day commemorates the faithful departed. In Christianity, All Souls' Day commemorates All Souls, the Holy Souls, or the Faithful Departed; that is, the souls of Christians who have died. Observing Christians typically remember deceased relatives on the day.
Saints Café
As their Act of Service , Year 6 will be hosting the volunteers of Gulgong at our ‘SAINTS CAFÉ’. This gives our senior students the opportunity to invite those wonderful people who have been volunteering in the Gulgong community to come along and be treated to a ‘cuppa, cake and chat’ served by our students.
The Café will be open from 10.00am – 11.30pm and we would like to invite as many volunteers as we can to join us.
If you know of someone who volunteers in our community, could you please share this invitation with them so they can come along to the Saints Cafe.
Please help us to not miss any of these special people who help make Gulgong the great town it is.
Jump Rope For Heart
We are nearly ready for our school Jump Off Day to be held on Wednesday 30th October .
Thankyou to those families who have registered and started their fundraising for the Heart Foundation. It has been great to see students from K-6 volunteer to be in the Demo Skipping Team. We will start our Jump Off with a display of skipping skills by the Demo Team.
We encourage everyone to keep up the skipping and ask that everyone registers online.

P&F Update - BAZAAR Market Stall
Our next meeting will be held this tomorrow afternoon to organise our Bazaar Market Stall that will be held on Friday 8th November. Please come along if you’re able to attend.
Bazaar -
- Please return your helpers sheets. We need lots of help to be able to run stalls at the Bazaar.
- We are asking infants to donate cakes/ slices for the cake stall.
- We are asking Year 3/4 classes to donate lollies and biscuits for the decorating stall.
- We are asking Year 5/6 classes to donate salad items for the barbecue on the night.
- Please let your class teacher or Brad know if you’re able to help out.
- More detailed lists will be sent home following the meeting tomorrow.
Here are a few ways you can contribute to the success of our Bazaar:
Volunteer: We need volunteers to help with various aspects of the event, such as planning, setting up, running stalls, and cleaning up afterward. Your time and effort are invaluable.
Donate: Whether it's items for stalls, baked goods for the bake sale, or your time to provide a service your contributions are greatly appreciated.
Spread the Word: Encourage friends and family to attend the Bazaar. The more people we can involve, the more successful the event will be.
Attend: Come to the Bazaar with your family and enjoy the afternoon with us. Your presence not only supports our cause but also fosters a sense of community within our school.
We understand that everyone's circumstances are different, and any contribution, big or small, is valued and appreciated. Your support is what makes All Hallows Catholic School such a special place for our children to learn and grow.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude in advance to all the parents who will step forward to support our Bazaar Fundraiser. Together, we can ensure that our school continues to thrive and provide the best possible education for our students.
Pupil Free Day
Advanced warning that our 3rd Pupil Free Day for the year will be held on:

Holiday Works
Our school was very busy over the holiday period with lots of work completed. We had a new shade sail installed in our courtyard. Irrigation system installed on the back playground and also had edging works completed on the playground equipment and soft fall added. One addition sure to please the students is a large sandpit that has been built on the playground under our new shade sail.

The ‘No Hat, Shade Play’ rule is enforced and children will not be allowed to play outside if they don’t have a hat on. Please help us to ensure that sun safety procedures are being followed at our school
