R.E Matters - Walking In The Light Of Christ
‘Let your Light Shine’ – Never see a need without doing something about it.
It is important to recognize that you have within you such an invaluable light that if only you allow it to shine can make such a huge and positive impact in this world. Letting your light shine means being a beacon of hope, kindness, and love for other people.
SWIMSAFE - Intensive Swimming Program
Our Swimsafe – Intensive Swimming Program will be held in Week 8 and Week 9 this term (2nd December – 12th December).
We are looking forward to improving our swimming and water safety skills as we become Clownfish, Dolphins, Sharks, Seals, Penguins and Starfish for the next two weeks.
Each day the children will need:
(1) swimmers,
(2) towel,
(3) sunscreen,
(4) school hat and
(5) a bag to carry it all in.
Students may choose to wear thongs to and from the pool but will need their school shoes for the rest of the day.
If your child is in the ‘Clownfish’ they will need to come to school dressed for swimming.
Please ensure your child has a healthy lunch and a water bottle each day for these weeks as swimming makes us hungry!
Thankyou to our parents, for your help in organising Intensive Swimming this year.
Summer Sports Trials
Congratulations to Elsie B who has been selected to represent the Bathurst Diocese at Polding Softball Trials next year.
Staffing for 2025
We currently have a job advertisement out at the moment looking for some Learning Support Officers (TA’s) to join our team in 2025.
The positions will close in two weeks and we will announce the successful candidates before the end of the year. Some of our funding is still up in the air so the number of days, hours and finer details will be locked in once the preferred candidates are chosen after interviews.
The positions are advertised on the Bathurst Catholic Education Office Website.
Day of Difference
Friday Week 7 we will be hosting our Day of Difference and Talent Quest for 2024.
Mrs Menchin is coordinating the Talent Quest and students are invited to wear mufti clothes that identify what makes them unique and special.
Students will be showcasing their talents from 2pm on the basketball court. Parents and friends are welcomed and encouraged to come along and support the students.
Asian Cultural Day
Thankyou to everyone who was able to join in a ‘travel around Asia’ with us.
Year 6 have enjoyed learning about other cultures and did a great job presenting their learning.

School Fees Due
A reminder that school fees are due THIS FRIDAY 22nd November for all families not on a payment plan paying by direct debit. Statements were sent out earlier this term and balances and payments can be accessed through the Compass Parent Portal.
Please contact us ASAP if you still have an outstanding balance and will be unable to finalise your account by the end of the week so we are aware of your circumstances.
2025 Enrolments
We are now taking enrolments for our 2025 Kinder class. We also have some limited availability in some of the other classes. If you know anyone that is interested in enrolling their child for next year please share this information with them and ask them to email b.toole2@bth.catholic.edu.au or call into the office to collect an enrolment pack
Garden Club News
We’ve been a bit quiet in the newsletter but not in garden club!
Last month we celebrated on October 1, Saint Therese, who is the Patron Saint of Florists, Foreign Missions, Loss of parents, priests and the sick. Have you seen our beautiful flowers?
We had a wonderful time at the Bazaar welcoming people into our space to create “stained glass windows” and to share our delicious strawberries with friends. We had a lovely time selling our succulents and our own harvested seeds. If you missed out - please come and see us, we have some tucked away!
This week in the Garden Club we were excited to harvest our garlic! We are looking forward to making some delicious treats later in the term!
Happy gardening, Mrs Tomlinson and Mrs Watts
