Dear Parents,
Northern Region Athletics
Congratulations to our Athletics Team of 48 students who are competing at the Northern Region Carnival in Dubbo today. We are sure everyone put in an amazing effort and were great representatives of our school. Special thanks to Ms Statham, Mrs Kelly and Miss Searle who were our team officials on the day.
Grandparents Day and Bookfair
Special thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate Grandparents day on Monday. It was a special day and we were blown away by the number of visitors who came and joined us.
I’d like to thank Mrs Clift and Year 2 for their leadership and organisation of the liturgy and morning tea.
I’d also like to thank Mrs Buckley and her helpers for the bookfair. It was great to see so many kids so excited about having some new books to read.
It truly was a great day for our school community.

R.E. Matters

The theme for 2025 is…
All Hallows - People of Hope
2025 is a Year of Jubilee!
We started our week with the celebration of of Grandparents Day. What wonderful models of generosity and kindness our grandmothers and grandfathers are in our lives.
Grandparents can be generous;
- Generous with their time,
- Generous with their hospitality and
- Generous with advice.
Grandparents help teach family culture, tradition and history. We are grateful for these special people in our lives.
Thankyou to Mrs Clift and Yr 2 for organising our beautiful Grandparents Liturgy for the Feast of St Joachim and St Anne – Jesus’ Grandparents.
"We grandparents and elderly people have a great responsibility: to teach the women and men of our time to regard others with the same understanding and loving gaze with which we regard our own grandchildren".
(Pope Francis, July 2022)

FIRST RECONCILIATION
This Thursday our First Holy Communion candidates, Kurt and Rosie will make their First Reconciliation.
Reconciliation or Penance, is a sacrament in the Catholic Church where individuals seek forgiveness for their sins and are reconciled with God and the Church. Please keep these children in your prayers and thoughts as they continue their preparation for the Sacrament of First Communion on Sunday the 24th August, 2025.
Feast of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop
Mary Helen MacKillop (15 January 1842 - 8 August 1909), also known as Saint Mary of the Cross, was an Australian Roman Catholic nun who, together with Father Julian Tenison Woods, founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. Mary and her sisters started a number of schools and welfare institutions throughout Australasia, with an emphasis on education for the poor, particularly in country areas. Since her death she has attracted much veneration in Australia and internationally. All Hallows Catholic School is one such school. Mary was an ordinary Victorian farm girl who devoted her life to the service of God and did great things for Australian and New Zealand families. She was a wonderful woman who gave her life to God and to people in need and was declared Australia’s first Saint on the 17th of October 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI.
On this special day each year we also remember our dear ‘Joeys nuns’, remembering them as an important link to St Mary for All Hallows Catholic School today.
Mrs Buckle and Yr 4 have been preparing our School Liturgy for the Feast of Mary MacKillop to be held in the Mons Frawley Hall ( School Hall) on Thursday 7th August at 12.30pm.

A friendly reminder to ensure that your child is coming to school prepared for the day.
This includes that they are in their appropriate uniform, have their hats, water bottle, crunch and sip and enough food for them to get through recess and lunch. This will assist the child to be prepared for learning in the classroom.
Attendance
A friendly reminder that the goal is for all students to be at school at least 90% of the time. Please stay in communication with the class teachers regarding any absences that your child may have from school.
P&F Uniform Shop Opening Hours
Our P&F uniform Shop is open on Tuesday mornings 8.30am - 9.15am.
Should you need items outside this time please message through the P&F Facebook page and someone from the P&F will arrange a collection from the office for uniform items.
School Beanies
The school is now selling beanies for $18. They are available from the Uniform Shop and the School Office. They can be worn on cool days. I would advise students to have their hats in their bags so they can change later in the day if it warms up.
