2025 Newsletter Term 4 Week 2
Letter from the Principal - Brad Toole
Dear Parents/Carers,
It has been an amazing start to Term 4. The smiling faces and laughing that I hear each morning on playground duty at school is a joy.
‘KOALA Club’ held their first full day last week. It is such an exciting time for our future students, parents and teachers. We look forward to welcoming you to the All Hallows community. Enrolments are currently open for all classes for 2026.
We are busy preparing the organisation of our end of year events. We will keep you updated on all the important events as we proceed throughout the term.
All Hallows ‘Pink Up Day’
Thank you very much for your generosity and support. We are all lucky to be involved in such an amazing school community.
All Hallows Halloween Bazaar
P&F Update
Bazaar -
- Please return your helpers sheets. We need lots of help to be able to run stalls at the Bazaar.
- We are asking infants to donate cakes/ slices for the cake stall.
- We are asking Primary classes to donate wrapped lollies for trick or treat stall
- Please let your class teacher or Brad know if you’re able to help out.
Here are a few ways you can contribute to the success of our Bazaar:
Volunteer: We need volunteers to help with various aspects of the event, such as planning, setting up, running stalls, and cleaning up afterward. Your time and effort are invaluable.
Donate: Whether it's items for stalls, baked goods for the bake sale, or your time to provide a service your contributions are greatly appreciated.
Spread the Word: Encourage friends and family to attend the Bazaar. The more people we can involve, the more successful the event will be.
Attend: Come to the Bazaar with your family and enjoy the afternoon with us. Your presence not only supports our cause but also fosters a sense of community within our school.
We understand that everyone's circumstances are different, and any contribution, big or small, is valued and appreciated. Your support is what makes All Hallows Catholic School such a special place for our children to learn and grow.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude in advance to all the parents who will step forward to support our Bazaar Fundraiser. Together, we can ensure that our school continues to thrive and provide the best possible education for our students.

All Hallows - People of Hope
2025 is a Year of Jubilee!

All Saints Feast Day
1st November
Next Friday 31st October, we will gather in our beautiful church to celebrate the feast of our school - All Saints Day. Our parish school, “All Hallows” is named after these saints and so Friday is a day of celebration for our school.
This year it is 142 years since the Sisters of St Joseph first came to Gulgong and started the first Catholic school in Gulgong. All Saints Day is the day we honour all the saints who showed us how to love God and other people. This year to commemorate ALL SAINTS DAY and as a link to those our school is named after, each child is asked to come dressed as a chosen saint.
Where possible children are encouraged to select an individual saint to create a larger school display of different saints. We encourage the use of ‘props’ related to a particular saint. (St Peter –key, St Therese – flowers…) The focus is on learning who these people were and what was so extraordinary about them that they were included in the ‘Communion of Saints’. Most outfits will be worn over uniforms for the morning, as classes will be heading out to their service activity after recess.
Please join us as we begin our celebration with Mass at 9.15am in the Church.
This will be followed by a morning tea, hosted by Yr 5, with families on the front playground. During this year, we have been focusing on being ‘People of Hope’ and with this in mind, we are excited that each class will be participating in a ‘Service Activity’ in the Gulgong community, sharing this hope with others in need.

SAINTS CAFÉ
As their Act of Service, Year 6 will be hosting the volunteers of Gulgong at our ‘SAINTS CAFÉ’. This gives our senior students the opportunity to invite those wonderful people who have been volunteering in the Gulgong community to come along and be treated to a ‘cuppa, cake and chat’ served by our students.
The Café will be open from 10.30am – 12.00pm and we would like to invite as many volunteers as we can to join us. So please if you know of someone who volunteers in our community, or has done in the past and would enjoy a cuppa, could you please share this invitation with them so they can come along to the Saints Cafe.
Please help us to not miss any of these special people who help make Gulgong the great town it is.

DIOCESAN SUMMER SPORTS TRIALS
The Bathurst Diocesan Summer Sports Trials for 2026 will be held in Dubbo on Thursday 20th November (Touch Footy, Softball and Cricket) and Friday 21stNovember (Basketball and Tennis) and are open to students in Yr 4 and Yr 5. Students from all schools in the Bathurst Diocese are invited to attend the trials. Students wishing to trial MUST display a HIGH standard of ABILITY in these sports to warrant being sent to the trials. They should be involved in REGULAR COMPETITION and have a SOUND KNOWLEDGE OF THE RULES of the game. Any student wishing to attend the Summer Sports Trials will need to see Ms Statham this week to get a registration note.
Sun Safety
A reminder to all parents to ensure that their child has packed their hat in their bag every day. The ‘No Hat, Shade Play’ rule is enforced and children will not be allowed to play outside if they don’t have a hat on. Please help us to ensure that sun safety procedures are being followed at our school.

End Of Year Presentation
After careful consideration we have made the decision to hold this year's awards ceremony during the school day instead of during the evening. The reason we have made the decision is we want to give all students the opportunity to be at the awards ceremony. We have noticed a trend over recent years of less students attending the night time presentation evening. We will evaluate after the Presentation afternoon this year.
Our Awards Assembly will be held on Thursday 11th December at 1pm at Memorial Hall.
